Again? A long time between post?
Yes, I know, but it's still been a long and hard journey for my family and I these last nine months. Along with the world, it would seem. I can't believe how much the world has changed in little over two years now, but history does repeat its self, doesn't it? The 1919 World Flu Epidemic to the 2019 Covid one and here we are.
But back to what's going on in my little part of it. Well, the health is improving. I am all healed up from the surgeries from last year and the treatments for the Cancer. I've been back to work now and starting to feel more and more like my old self. Caught Covid in January along with most of the rest of my family. Survived it, we did. Ah, Yoda.
Made it to April and started the reconstruction phase of my healing from the Breast Cancer. May I managed to get the shots for the Covid. The month also brought in bad news with Dad getting sick twice after Chemo and needing to be hospitalized. It isn't good but I won't go into details here as that is something we are still adjusting from now that it is June 3.
That's the health news.
Creative news... mostly sewing, sewing and more sewing. For my dolls and masks for family. Hey, we had it once, no need to take the chance with Daddy again. Also, made my Mom a small crazy quilt purse and Dad asked me to make a second one for him to give to someone. It's a surprise for them so I won't say who.
I've also started to teach myself watercolor pens. The first one is based on a 1920's picture and I made it with just the watercolor pens and a water brush.
The second is Watercolor pen and Color pencil.
The third is Watercolor pen and pen which I gave to my Mom. She loves Butterflies and Moths.

It's been a strange year with people saying the Social Distancing and Masks are making them crazy. I guess I can sort of see why they may be feel that way, but for me it isn't so much. I have been sort of doing it my whole life. I've never been a very Socially Active person. Crowds and parties have made me uncomfortable and nervous to the point of panic at times. So this new world didn't bother me.
I guess what I am saying is find ways to keep your mental and emotional health great people. If that is facetiming family or friends, or learning a new hobby do it. Sometimes it is all we have to keep us happy and healthy.
Till next time...
